They kept me informed on the process as well as provided regular updates on the tracking of my car and maintained the commitments they made towards me. Never again.My car was collected in NZ on March 10 and was delivered to me on August 6. Almost 5 months and their original indication was 5 -6 weeks. The basic problem was they provided no meaningful advice on how to manage or expedite the shipping, their business approach is to sign you up and then charge every possible fee along the way, including some egregious fx rates which they had to reverse.When I tried to work out what was happening they alternatively told me it was my fault as I hadn't read their emails carefully enough or that the delivery end was a fiasco" they had no way to know about.Even when the car was finally available and I was trying to pick up directly from the port

I used SMB Melbourne in March 2020 to transport a Camry to Sydney. When i dropped the vehicle off we went over the car together to capture any damage. We recorded the chips, dents, scratches and I was satisfied with what we recorded.Two days later, when the car is being loaded, I receive a call about a crack in the mirror which they weren't aware of, and to be honest neither was I, as there hadn't previously been any damage to the mirror i had been aware of. They loaded the vehicle and sent it to Sydney.When the vehicle arrived in Sydney the mirror had significant damage to the mirror and held on by duct tape!Following this we raised a claim, to which SMB stated that because we received a phone call 2 days after dropping the vehicle off regarding the damage, we had therefore apparently known about it, even though it was not captured on the document. They also kindly noted that any claim has an excess payment of $800! Very dishonest approach/tactic used by this company to avoid paying damage which appears to be clearly the result of forgetting to fold the mirrors in when loading the vehicle. This would be less of an issue if SMB was honest and up front about this, but the fact they refused to acknowledge that this occurred on their site and blame the customer demonstrates enough to me how this business operates.We disputed this with SMB, and also requested the procedure/form detailing the process for loading the vehicle. At the time of writing this review, we are still yet to hear back from them after over 2 weeks.I recommend look elsewhere when transporting your vehicle. Although cheap, the dishonesty and vehicle damage doesn't justify the reduced cost. Save yourself the time and headache.
